5 Beautiful Spots For Outdoor Elopements in Los Angeles
I don’t know about you, but I love living in LA. We’ve got mountains, we’ve got beaches, we’ve got deserts, we’ve got historical landmarks, and they’re all within an hour drive of the heart of the city. Whether you’re an LA native or you’re planning an elopement from out of state, add these locations to your list!
GRIFFITH OBSERVATORY
If you love art deco and beautiful city views, the Observatory has got you covered. This is a classic, romantic spot to say your vows that never fails to make a lasting impression on couples. TIP: This place can get super crowded in the evenings and weekends, so if you decide to elope here, you’ll 100% want to do a sunrise ceremony! (The light is gorgeous and the city is still asleep, making the atmosphere even more romantic.)
2. GRIFFITH PARK
If you’re more of a nature person and don’t want to get too far out of city limits, Griffith Park has a ton of wonderful vista points made perfect for your elopement. The park is huge, so you can either hike up a few rolling hills to reach an incredible view of the entire city, or tuck yourself away in some trees for some privacy and intimacy.
3. VASQUEZ ROCKS
This is the perfect spot for anyone who love both desert and mountains. This place has a beautiful neutral color palette fit for a down-to-earth elopement ceremony. The area is huge so you’re bound to find a quiet corner somewhere with room to explore!
4. ANGELES CREST
Maybe you’re looking for a more epic landscapes with an abundance of tall mountain peaks. No need to head to the Rockies, we’ve got some pretty rad mountains right in our backyard in the Angeles Crest Forest. This is my FAVORITE place to shoot, and you’re guaranteed to hear silence when you’re up here.
5. MALIBU BEACHES
Where my ocean people at? If you’ve always dreamed of digging your toes in the sand with your partner on wedding day, pick a beach in Malibu. They’re less crowded than Santa Monica/Venice, have more natural landmarks, and don’t have crazy permit laws like beaches on the south side.
These are 5 of my favorite places I’ve witnessed people fight back their tears as they say their vows to each other, but honestly, this barely even scratches the surface on what this amazing city has to offer!
If you want to know more about these spots or have other locations in mind and want to know if it would work for an elopement, come say something in my inbox! I’m pretty good at helping with this kinda thing. ;)
